Arts & Culture

Lumby and it's beautiful surroundings are not only the inspiration for many artists, but also the place they call home.

There are two local art groups that encompass formats from pottery to photography. Lumby is also home to a very active theatre group.

Twenty minutes away in Vernon you can visit the Vernon Art Gallery or enjoy a production at the Powerhouse Theatre or the Vernon Performing Arts Centre.

Lumby & District Historical Society

Covering the Lumby, Cherryville, and Mabel Lake regions, the Lumby & District Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of local historical artifacts and the documentation of local history through archives. The Lumby Museum also includes a large outdoor display building for large agricultural and forestry machinery.

For further information about the Lumby Museum please contact Georgie Hay at 250-547-9574.
