Water Main Project Starts Up Again

The final leg of Phase II of the Sustainable Water Project has started back up.  Please be advised that there will be construction delays in Lumby on Shuswap Avenue from September 15th to November 11th from 7:00 am to 6 pm daily. The intersection of Hwy 6 and Shuswap Avenue (4 way stop) will see construction delays staring September 15th for approximately two  to four weeks, from 7 am to 6 pm daily. Traffic will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic during this time period.

RFP: Floodplain Mapping & Earthworks Assessment

The Village of Lumby invites qualified and experienced proponents to respond to this Request for Proposal (RFP) ES-2017-02 for the provision of professional services to update the municipalitys’ floodplain mapping, and assess areas of approximately 7.65 kilometers of creek banks and earthworks that were installed during the May 2017 emergency flood response.  The view RFP ES-2017-02 click the links below:

The Regional District of the North Okanagan has changed insurance providers for all Whitevalley Parks & Recreation Facilities.

Insurance can now be purchased online or though your own insurance agent and is no longer available through the Village of Lumby directly.

Off-road Vehicles Restricted in Backcountry

Effective at noon (Pacific time) on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, the operation of any off-road vehicle for recreational purposes on Crown land will be prohibited throughout the Cariboo Fire Centre, Kamloops Fire Centre and Southeast Fire Centre. In addition, all on-highway vehicles must remain on defined road surfaces.This step is being taken to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety.
