The Regional District of North Okanagan is pleased to announce the launch of the 2013 Regional Quality of Life Survey on May 10, 2013 to track changes in public perception about the quality of life within the communities of the North Okanagan. The survey is confidential and will take between 15 and 20 minutes to complete.
Village of Lumby property owners and those living near creeks, streams and low lying areas should consider steps to protect their property and reduce the risk of flooding.
Above average seasonal temperatures in the coming weeks will increase flows and levels of water bodies throughout the North Okanagan, making flooding more likely.
The Village of Lumby has received funding to implement a Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP) that will guide how the Village's sanitary sewer wastewater and storm sewer effluent will be collected and treated for the next 20 years. A key component of the LWMP is to engage the public in receiving their input.
The Village of Lumby adopted a new Zoning Bylaw at its Regular Meeting of Council dated February 6, 2013. For more information on Zoning Bylaw No. 750, 2012 and Schedule A Map.
