Village Staff Supports Movemeber
Staff members of the Village of Lumby have united to support the cause of prostate cancer awareness, the number one cancer affecting men. Employees in the Village of Lumby have shaved off their moustaches in hopes of beating their fellow competitors in growing the "gnarliest stache" during the month of November. Each employee was required to pay an initiation fee to join the Movember contest, with that fee being donated to prostate cancer research. Knowing this crew, side bets will be a common theme and their goal is to reach $1000.00 by months end. With two cancer survivors on the crew, causes like this only enhances that, cancer does get beat. All other employees and members of the public are encouraged to make a donation for this cause at the Municipal Office.
